Ferndale used for Hither Green Baptist Church 'Away Day'
Saturday 12th September was a poignant day for Stephen. Hither Green Baptist Church, led by their pastor, Honesty Kachidza, used Ferndale for their Church ‘Away Day’.
Honesty and his wife Debbie were formerly students of Stephen and Hither Green was just ‘down the road’ from Stephen’s first pastorate in New Cross. He was even able to recall not wholly successful batting performances in Chidbrook Meadows!
Hospitality was lavishly provided by Carolyne and Sarah and Stephen gave a couple of talks on ‘Being Church’.
