Introducting Sarah Dawkins
Sarah Dawkins grew up in Morecambe and then went to University at Preston where she completed a degree in Law with Business Information Systems. Sarah became a Christian through the Christian Union and, after leaving University, has been working alongside of Peter Dray as one of his UCCF Relay Workers.
Sarah missed the sea while at Preston as she loves it (as well as Morecambe). She is excited at the prospect of joining us and adds,
‘My favourite things in the whole world (in no particular order!) are: ice cream, tea, God, the Bible, friends, sunny days, Starbucks, Primark and the North of England!
I hate banana’s and rainy days. My favourite films are cheesy musicals especially Sound of Music and High School Musical!’
Stephen comments, ‘Oh no! Not another one!’
SOOO glad you are coming Sarah! Do you have any random collections ....yet?
Comment by Anne Dray on 21 May 2008 at 06:31 AMWow. Do you realise Southend supplies everything you love (except it isn’t in the north of England, but the likeness is uncanny sometimes). And I think you could go for ages without ever coming across a rainy day or a banana!
Comment by Gareth L on 21 May 2008 at 08:42 AMAnd praise the Lord that Ferndale won’t end up with someone who just talks about cricket and random saints all the time!
Comment by Gareth L on 21 May 2008 at 08:56 AMLove the final comment from Stephen! What collections can we assist with starting, Anne? I’m thinking eggcups…
Comment by Justin Taylor on 21 May 2008 at 10:46 AMYay!!!!!!!!!! Another Northerner!! From one Lancashire lassie to another - welcome to the family!
I have to admit to being a bit concerned about your taste in music though! Could we convert you to a little metal from time to time?
Comment by Jane on 21 May 2008 at 05:05 PMhello! thank you all for your nice comments! im really excited about coming down but please not an egg cup collection-i hate eggs! and jane, my music taste is sadly tragic but im willing to try other things! sarah x
Comment by Sarah on 21 May 2008 at 06:33 PMDon’t worry - we will educate you
By the way, nobody said that you were supposed to ENJOY your collection! Although I think Gareth has become quite a fan of the Queen Mum!
Comment by Jane on 21 May 2008 at 07:46 PMok . . .i look forward to being educated and learning to love egg cups. . . !
