Introducting Jon Delves
I was born in brought up in Hastings in a church-going family. I became a Christian at Spring Harvest at the age of 13. I am currently taking my final exams in my degree in Italian Studies and Music at Lancaster University where I’ve been involved with Christian Union. I spent the 2006-7 academic year living in Italy in a city called Parma.
I am really into music of many styles. I play the Tuba, the guitar, the bass guitar and sing a bit too. I like lots of sports, but mainly watching, and I play a bit of golf when I get the chance. Growing up in Hastings, I have a real attachment to the seaside too.
I am very much looking forward to coming to be part of Ferndale and meeting you all.
And we are very much looking forward to you joining us!
We have regular games of “car park” footie with the kids so I think you had better be prepared to do a bit more than watch
Please confirm that you are not into “High School Musical”! ^^
In the meantime good luck with the finals - my daughter has just finished hers so I can appreciate what you are going through!
Comment by Jane on 02 June 2008 at 07:31 AMAs a very ‘Christian’ musician (i.e. one who has been described as having a right hand that does not know what the left hand is doing!) I am particularly glad that you will have some additional talents to add to the Ferndale brew!
I have already asked Sarah if she has any random collections.... you have been warned!
Seriously - we are all thrilled that you are coming and look forward to seeing yoy again.
