A Vision Realised
Posted on 14 May 2009
The ADSA store in Shoeburyness is shortly to commence running a free bus servce through Cluny Square.
The original idea was dreamed up by Stephen, the Store Chaplain. He noticed that all the buses by-passed the area and made it difficult for residents to access the Store where prices were competitive for those on low incomes.
The idea was raised at a local community group and picked up by the local councillors. Peter Ashley was expecially pro-active and collected a petition and then lobbied the store… with successful results!
Meanwhile, Stephen is delighted that his idea ‘flew’ and that local residents, low on services, will, at least, be able to shop easily and economically.
